Tree Planting Campaign

At Save the Less Privileged Children and Environment Development Initiative (SAPCEDI), we are deeply committed to environmental conservation. One of our flagship activities is our tree planting campaigns. These campaigns are designed to combat deforestation, enhance biodiversity, and promote a healthier ecosystem. We have successfully organized numerous tree planting events, engaging community members and local schools in planting thousands of trees. These efforts not only help in reducing carbon footprints but also educate the younger generation about the importance of environmental stewardship. Planting in Secondary Schools In line with our mission to foster environmental awareness among the youth, SAPCEDI has initiated tree planting programs in secondary schools across Gombe State. These programs involve students in hands-on activities that teach them the value of trees and the role they play in sustaining our environment. By integrating these activities into the school curriculum, we aim to instill a sense of responsibility and environmental consciousness in students, ensuring that they grow up to be proactive guardians of our planet. GBV Awareness Campaigns Gender-based violence (GBV) is a critical issue that affects many communities. SAPCEDI has been at the forefront of raising awareness about GBV through comprehensive campaigns across Gombe metropolis. Our campaigns focus on educating the public about the signs, consequences, and prevention of GBV. We collaborate with local authorities, community leaders, and other NGOs to provide support and resources to survivors, and to promote a culture of respect and equality. These campaigns are crucial in creating safe and supportive environments for all individuals, particularly women and children. Other Initiatives Beyond our primary activities, SAPCEDI is involved in various other initiatives aimed at improving community well-being. These include: Health Education Programs: We conduct workshops and seminars to educate communities about health issues, preventive care, and the importance of regular medical check-ups. Vocational Training: To empower individuals economically, we offer vocational training programs that equip participants with practical skills for self-employment and job opportunities. Community Clean-Up Drives: We organize regular clean-up drives to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in public spaces, reducing the risk of diseases and promoting a healthier living environment.
